How induction cooking works
  1. Electric current flows to the coil placed below the top plate.
  2. Magnetic field is generated on the coil.
  3. When the magnetic field is coming through the pot on the top plate, the resistance contained in the bottom of the pot generates electric current.
  4. The electric current on the bottom of the pot helps to heat up the pot itself.
  5. This induced heating does not affect on the top plate of the range at all, therefore the top plate is always cool to the touch.
